How Origin Studio fits into the Origin metadata portfolio.
Origin Studio is part of Fabric Data's Origin metadata portfolio β a suite of products designed to work together across the metadata lifecycle, from creation through enrichment to delivery.
Each product in the portfolio serves a distinct purpose, but they share a common foundation: clean, structured, well-governed metadata that flows reliably to wherever it needs to go.
The Products
Origin Studio
Your private title catalogue and system of record.
Origin Studio is where your team creates, enriches, governs, and delivers title metadata. It is your single source of truth β the place where every title lives, every change is tracked, and every delivery originates.
Use Origin Studio to:
Build and manage your title catalogue
Define and enforce metadata standards across teams and territories
Run localisation and enrichment workflows
Deliver metadata to platforms and partners via UI exports or API
See Key Benefits and Core Capabilities for a detailed look at what Origin Studio offers.
Origin Nexus
A rich metadata source service.
Origin Nexus gives your team access to trusted, global metadata that can be pulled directly into your Origin Studio catalogue. Instead of manually sourcing and entering enrichment data, your team searches Nexus and brings in what they need.
Origin Nexus provides:
Images β high-quality key art, posters, and promotional imagery
Video β trailers and promotional playback content
Third-party identifiers β industry-standard IDs such as IMDb, enabling accurate cross-referencing and interoperability with external systems
Origin Nexus is the starting point for the enrichment-first workflow described below.
Origin Insights
Analytics and insight data at the title level.
Origin Insights layers demand signals, market trends, and monetisation intelligence onto your catalogue. It helps content, strategy, and commercial teams understand which titles are performing, where demand is emerging, and where the opportunities are.
Use Origin Insights to:
Assess title-level demand across markets and platforms
Identify trending content and emerging audience interest
Inform acquisition, licensing, and scheduling decisions with data
How the Products Work Together
The Enrichment-First Workflow
Most teams inherit metadata that is incomplete, inconsistent, or scattered across systems. The traditional approach is to clean it up after the fact β a slow, manual, and error-prone process.
Origin flips that workflow. Instead of starting with broken data and fixing it later, the enrichment-first approach starts with rich, trusted metadata from the outset.

The typical flow:
Search Origin Nexus β find the title in Nexus and pull in rich metadata, images, and identifiers as your starting point.
Create or import a record β bring the title into your Origin Studio tenant, either from Nexus or via CSV import for titles not yet in the system.
Enrich and localise β add territory-specific metadata, translations, and any custom fields your partners require.
Govern changes β use workflow stages, approval gates, and role-based permissions to control who can edit, review, and publish.
Deliver downstream β push finalised metadata to platforms and partners via UI exports, REST API, or GraphQL.
This approach means your team spends less time on data entry and cleanup, and more time on the curation and localisation work that actually adds value.
