# Glossary

* **Asset**: a media file or package managed outside Origin Studio (MAM/DAM).
* **Compilation**: a container Record that groups other Records in a sequence.
* **Contributor**: a person involved in production (actor, director, producer).
* **Credit**: the association between a Record and a Contributor.
* **Data Group**: a logical UI grouping of Sections and fields.
* **Dataset**: the allowed values for a select field (single or multi).
* **Delivery Package**: a controlled set of published Records for audited export.
* **Delivery window**: when a title is available for distribution.
* **EIDR**: Entertainment Identifier Registry. An industry identifier standard for uniquely referencing titles and title hierarchies.
* **Enrichment-first workflow**: create Records using trusted external sources (for example Origin Nexus), then layer local edits and governance on top.
* **Field**: one metadata attribute stored on a Record.
* **Ingestion**: loading data into Origin Studio (API, batch ingest, pipelines).
* **Linked record**: a Record connected to another Record via a relationship.
* **Master**: the canonical Record representing the primary title object.
* **Origination**: the source of a value (manual, Origin Nexus, integration).
* **Origin Insights**: a Fabric product that provides title-level demand, trends, and monetisation signals.
* **Origin Nexus**: a Fabric product that provides rich, structured, global title metadata for enrichment.
* **Permission Group**: a segregated library inside a tenant.
* **Record**: the core object in Origin Studio (Series, Season, Episode, Movie).
* **Role**: a named set of permissions (policies) assigned to users.
* **Section**: a UI collection of fields within a Data Group. Also permission unit.
* **Taxonomy**: a controlled classification structure (genres, tags, labels).
* **Tenant**: an isolated customer environment in the multi-tenant platform.
* **Territory**: a geographic or distribution region (country, region, group).
* **Title**: the business concept of a media work, represented as a Record.
* **Version**: a specific variant of a title or metadata package.
* **Work Type**: the Record type (Series, Season, Episode, Movie, Compilation).
