# Image API Docs

## General Information

\
A picture is worth a thousand words! Take advantage of Origin Nexus’s huge library of images and screen captures to create a stunning entertainment discovery experience.

Images are to be downloaded from Origin Nexus as per our Terms of Service. It is up to the client to manage, host, and serve the images they wish to use.

Be sure to check image availability as images may be removed from the system at which point they should also be removed from the client system.

The [Image API](/origin/apis-all/image-api-docs/images.md) allows you to retrieve an image or a batch of images based on the FilePath. The FilePaths can be found inside the Entertainment API or the Celebrity API.

* [**/Images/{FilePath}/Redirect**](/origin/apis-all/image-api-docs/images.md#get-filepath-redirect) - Allows you to get a single image.
* [**/Images/ScreenCaptures/Redirect**](/origin/apis-all/image-api-docs/images.md#get-screencaptures-redirect) - Allows you to get one screen capture for a video asset.
* [**/Images/Batch**](/origin/apis-all/image-api-docs/images.md#post-batch) - Allows you to get a batch of images by passing an array of FilePaths.
* [**/Images/ScreenCaptures/Batch**](/origin/apis-all/image-api-docs/images.md#post-screencaptures-batch) - Allows you to get a batch of video asset screen captures in one API call by passing an array of FilePaths.

The examples below illustrate the types of images contained in the database.

### “Promotional Use” Terms and Conditions for Poster, Photo, and Portrait Images

\
Posters, Photos and Portraits in our database are related to a specific movie, TV or game title and are promotional images for that title. If you have title pages or articles about that title, then offering an image gallery on that page is obviously promotional. If you are doing editorial about another topic and use an image from Origin Nexus, you need to reference or otherwise indicate the title of the film, TV show, or game to be promotional.

### Terms and Conditions for Headshots

\
Only Origin Nexus customers can use headshots. Headshots can be used in cast lists for any program where celebrity is a contributor. If headshot is used for editorial articles about the celebrity, article cannot be obscene, defamatory, libelous, or slanderous. If headshot is used for editorial articles, it must include attribution of “Courtesy of \[attribution name].”
