# Data Ownership

Client data in any Fabric environment is owned, maintained, and the responsibility of the client. The Fabric Data Classification document outlines how data should be classified.

Where third-party integrations are utilized to pull data into Fabric, it is the responsibility of the client to ensure proper use of the data is executed and in line with the contracts held with the third parties.
