# AWS Cloud Hosting

## Hosting <a href="#hosting-cloudproviderandstandardenvironments-v1-hosting" id="hosting-cloudproviderandstandardenvironments-v1-hosting"></a>

Fabric application as a cloud-based web app, hosted its infrastructure primarily on [Amazon Web Services (AWS)](https://aws.amazon.com/), which is a secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-hosting platform. We currently do not provide any other hosting options.

{% hint style="info" %}
Cloud hosting: This is a scalable and flexible hosting option that allows you to pay for what you use. It's suitable for websites with unpredictable traffic spikes and high availability requirements.

## Standard environment setup <a href="#hosting-cloudproviderandstandardenvironments-v1-standardenvironmentsetup" id="hosting-cloudproviderandstandardenvironments-v1-standardenvironmentsetup"></a>

The standard implementation of a Fabric Client includes:

* 1x Quality Assurance (QA) - currently set up as your sandbox and non-production instance
* 1x Live or Production Environment

A **sandbox environment** is a safe and isolated space where you can test your code, experiment with new features, and simulate real-world scenarios without affecting the production environment. It's useful for detecting and fixing bugs, optimizing performance, and improving user experience.

A **non-production instance** is a replica of your production environment that you can use for testing, staging, or disaster recovery purposes. It allows you to simulate the production environment and test your application in a realistic setting before releasing it to the public.

This setup allows you to test and deploy your application in a controlled and secure environment before releasing it to production.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you need additional environments for testing, development, or staging, you can request them from Fabric, but they come with a cost per additional environment (e.g. DEV environment as the lowest level of environment, DR environment that is basically a carbon copy of the LIVE environment). This allows you to scale your infrastructure based on your needs and budget.
