# System Requirements

Fabric is a cloud-based application, designed for access through modern desktop browsers. As a web application, Fabric runs centrally on a server, and users interact with it through web browsers from any computer on the same network. To maximise the customer experience and for optimum performance, please see system requirements below:

## :globe\_with\_meridians: Browsers

The Fabric Studio Application is designed to work with the two most recent versions of the following browsers (unless specified otherwise). Chrome is advised.

• Chrome - <https://www.google.com/chrome>

• Safari - <https://www.apple.com/safari>

## :desktop: Operating Systems

The Fabric Studio Application is designed to work with the following operating systems (unless specified otherwise).

• Windows 7 and up, not including Server Editions.

• Max OSX 10.12 and up.

## :tv: Resolutions

The Fabric Studio Application is designed to work with the following resolutions (unless specified otherwise).

• Screen Resolution - 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and up.

• Browser Canvas Resolution - 1,600 x 900 pixels and up.

The Browser Canvas Resolution is the minimum supported for correct application operation. Using internet browser with resolutions beneath 1,600 x 900 pixels will result in the application design being cropped and/or limited, which may result in some features and functionality not being present, or not working as intended.

If your maximum Browser Canvas Resolution is beneath 1,600 x 900 pixels, you may need to zoom out in your internet browser to reveal the full user interface.

• Windows - First press the Control (CTRL) key, whilst this is held down then press the - key. Or use the View Menu and select “Zoom Out”.

• Mac - First press the Apple (⌘) key, whilst this is held down then press the - key. Or use the View Menu and select “Zoom Out”.

## :calling: Connectivity

The Fabric Studio Application uses modern development technologies and is designed to perform optimally with a modern broadband internet connection.

• Ideal Bandwidth - 10mb Down, 2mb Up.

• Minimum Bandwidth - 5mb Down, 1mb Up.

For accurate speed & connectivity quality testing please visit <https://www.fast.com>

## Additional Considerations

The available browser cache can have a significant affect on application performance, so please ensure that all other browser tabs are closed for optimal experience. Further, having additional services running that consume bandwidth can also have a negative effect on performance; downloading, screen sharing, file syncing, etc.

Whilst configurations not noted above may work, they are not officially supported by Fabric.
