Your Record Workflows configuration will depend on the structure and needs of your business, but here are some examples of how you might use Approvals Groups:

1. **Teams/Business Functions:**

* **Purpose:** Approval groups can be utilized to represent various teams or business functions within an organization.
* **Example:** For instance, you may have separate approval groups for legal and post-production teams who will consider different aspects when approving records.

2. **Regions:**

* **Purpose:** Approval groups can also be defined based on geographic regions.
* **Example:** If your organization operates in different regions, you might want records to be reviewed and approved by teams specific to each region (e.g., EMEA, APAC).

3. **Streaming Service/Platform:**

* **Purpose:** Approval groups can be employed to categorize approvals by streaming service/ platform.
* **Example:** If your business delivers content to various streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc., you can use approval groups to track the approval status and requirements specific to each platform.

## :robot: Global Approval

Approval groups which feed into global approval trigger the record status in record properties to change. Users are able to configure which approval groups are required for global approval, and what status change should be triggered. For example, when the legal, post production and creative development groups have approved the record, the record status could be set to change to "ready to publish".
