# Continuous Enrichment (Gracenote)

## Introduction to Continuous Show Enrichment

Welcome to the Gracenote Syndicated Show Integration Guide for Fabric users. This guide will help you to automate show hierarchy and its metadata through Gracenote enrichment functionality in Fabric by pulling the latest data and the hierarchy directly from Gracenote, ensuring your catalogs are always up-to-date.

### Overview

The Gracenote Syndicated Show Integration simplifies the process of getting show hierarchy and metadata in to your Fabric catalog without hassle. Instead of going back and forth between Gracenote and Fabric to create Show-Seasons-Episodes hierarchy and trying to make sure the metadata is up-to-date, Fabric is providing an automatic method to bring in the episodic and season records and the respective metadata of the show you just licensed or produced. In a few steps, users can effortlessly obtain the latest episode and season data without manual intervention.

### Why do we need it?

* **Time-saving**: Eliminate the need for manual data input and checking.
* **Accuracy**: Get direct, verified data from Gracenote.
* **Efficiency**: Streamline the content update process for your team.
* **Automatic Updates**: Get updates for a daily show's information without any delay.

### How does it work?

On an event when you want to create a show and "magically" have all the hierarchy and data populated in your catalog, you simply just need to toggle on the “Gracenote Syndicated Show” at the show level in Fabric. When enabled, Fabric will automatically pull the hierarchy and the latest information from Gracenote, ensuring up-to-date content.

## Getting Started

To begin using the Gracenote Syndicated Show integration, follow these steps:

1. **Create a Show (Syndicated or Normal Show) in Fabric**: Navigate to Fabric and create a show record, ensuring you mark it as a continuous show or set the enrichment to be continuous.
2. **Toggle on Gracenote Syndicated Show**: Find the toggle at the show level and turn it on.
3. **Set Dates**: In Edit Mode, define the start date (mandatory) and end date (optional) for the episodes' release. This dictates which episodes are pulled from Gracenote.

And :sparkles:voila:sparkles: the whole show hierarchy (the seasons and episodes within the specified date range) is created in Fabric with the latest data that will get updated within specified period of time.
