# Production Number over Original Running Order Number
By default, episode numbers shown throughout the Fabric application are based on the **original running order** rather than the **production number**.
However, for many clients, the **production number,** which aligns with their internal media supply chain, is the preferred identifier. This discrepancy can cause confusion, particularly when episodes were broadcast in a different sequence from how they were produced.
To address this, Fabric offers an optional configuration to display **production numbers** in addition to or instead of the default running order.
Enabling Production Number Display
To enable this feature, set the following toggle in the client build:
```
EPISODE_PRODUCTION_NUMBER_ENABLED=true
```
Once enabled, production numbers will appear in the following areas:
1. **Search Results**
The production number is displayed alongside the episode title in search listings.
2. **Episode Selector in Record Header**
The production number appears next to each episode title in the dropdown selector.
3. **Season Linkages**
Episode records within a season will display the associated production number.
