# Managing your Data Sets

Add to and edit you [Data Sets](/fabric-knowledge-base/learn-the-application/destinations/preferences/data-sets.md) including [descriptors](/fabric-knowledge-base/learn-the-application/default-data-sets/descriptors.md), [languages](/fabric-knowledge-base/learn-the-application/default-data-sets/languages.md) and [record types](/fabric-knowledge-base/learn-the-application/default-data-sets/record-categorization.md#types) within preferences. The process is similar for each data set but let's look at a few different examples!

Use the dropdown to select a list.

<summary>2. Add a new value. </summary>

Click **Add New Value** and enter the name of the value you want to add to the managed list (or field enumeration). You can also specify the backend value name if it is relevant to your integration. If the backend value is not set, it will default automatically.
