## Export Datasets to Excel <a href="#export-datasets-to-excel" id="export-datasets-to-excel"></a>

### Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

Fabric Studio provides a native **Export to Excel** capability that allows users to download datasets directly from the system in a structured `.xlsx` format.

This feature enables users to analyze, review, and share data offline without relying on manual workarounds or Support-provided custom extracts.

Exports are **secure**, **RBAC-compliant**, and designed to work reliably across supported datasets.

1. Open **Fabric Studio**
2. Navigate to the Preferences -> Data Sets page
3. Select the Dataset
4. Click the **Export** button on the right hand side near Select list component
5. The dataset is downloaded as an **Excel (.xlsx)** file
6. The exported Excel file contains: All **visible columns/fields** of the selected dataset
