# Catalogs

## Introduction to Catalogs

Catalogs is an area within Preferences that allows admin users to create and delete catalogs, as well as change the default catalog in their Fabric instance. This feature is particularly useful for organizations that need to manage multiple catalogs, such as those with separate product lines or subsidiaries. By using Catalogs, administrators can ensure that the right data is associated with the right catalog, making it easier to manage and analyze.
