# New: Linking Records on Creation (using Linkages ID)

### Overview

:link: With our new Bulk Data Ingest enhancement, users can upload a single spreadsheet containing new Collections, Shows, Seasons, Episodes, Specials, and Versions and have them created and linked in the catalog - with one single import.

This is facilitated by two new column, where users can specify the required linkage for a record in the spreadsheet for Data Import by referencing an ID.

### ⚙️ How does it work?

The following two columns control this part of the data import functionality:

**Linkages Reference ID** : Populate this column with the relevant type of ID you want to use for linkage e.g. 'BBCS ID'. This could be a custom ID that has been added in Record Builder.

**Linkages ID Value** : Populate this column with the relevant ID value.

Now, a spreadsheet containing the full catalog hierarchy and linkages can be created and linked in one upload.

{% hint style="info" %}
The Record you are linking to must be present in the spreadsheet.
{% endhint %}
