# Creating, Enriching & Deleting Records

## :pencil2:   Creating a Record in Record Search & Enriching from EIDR

Lets create a record, take a brief look at manual enrichment, and enrich from EIDR.

<summary>1. Select "Create New Record" and choose the record category and type. </summary>

Find "Create New Record" in Discovery at the top of the screen, and select blank record.

Select your [Record Category](/fabric-knowledge-base/learn-the-application/default-data-sets/record-categorization.md) and [Record Type](/fabric-knowledge-base/learn-the-application/default-data-sets/record-categorization.md#types).&#x20;

<summary>2. Complete the mandatory fields. </summary>

Certain fields (the Record Title, Release Year and Country of Origin) must be completed to create a new record. This information can also be used to find the corresponding EIDR ID.&#x20;

An organization may also set their own custom mandatory fields in [Record Builder](/fabric-knowledge-base/learn-the-application/destinations/preferences/record-builder.md).

<summary>3 Enrich from EIDR. </summary>

Adding the EIDR ID is recommended and easy to do!

Simply select the blue "EIDR" button, and the record you are looking for should be suggested.&#x20;

Select your record, toggle the attributes you would like to enrich from EIDR and press enrich.&#x20;
