# Creating a Collection or Franchise

[Collections](/fabric-knowledge-base/learn-the-application/destinations/collections.md) contain records that are grouped based on different business rules. Follow the tutorial below to learn how to create a new collection, add records to a collection, and search and filter your collections.

## :pencil2:   Creating a collection

Learn how to create a new collection, add records to a collection, and search and filter your collections:

Select Create New Collection from the top of the screen.

Select your Category.

<summary>2. Name and Add Records to your Collection</summary>

Name your Collection.

Select the blue "add record" button to add a new record. Select the Record Category.

Search for the Record's title, select the correct Record and press Add.&#x20;

<summary>3. Delete Records from your Collection</summary>

Check the box at the left of the Collection Record and press Delete.&#x20;

Use the search bar to search for specific Collections.

Filter by Collection Category.
