# Fabric Studio v26.2.1

### New features

#### Action management

Control and customize user workflows with the new Action Management preference page. Administrators can now centrally manage which custom actions appear on record pages.

Example Use Case: 

Add an action button on the record page that instantly triggers a workflow to duplicate an existing version. *(See below)*

#### Advanced Search 2.0

* Recent Searches (last 10) with automatically generated, LLM-based search names.&#x20;

Your ten most recent searches are retained and given clear, automatically generated names using an LLM, so you can quickly re-run or recognise a previous query. So you won't ever lose what you have searched before.&#x20;

#### Notifications & Progress Tracking&#x20;

A new native communication layer that gives users visibility into long-running automations (e.g. n8n versioning, syncing and data-inheritance jobs) that previously ran with no feedback. Two services work together: the Progress Tracker owns the job lifecycle and accepts progress updates from external systems, while the Notification Service dispatches an alert only when a job reaches a terminal state — completed or failed — so users aren't interrupted mid-process.

*Backend only in this release; the user-facing front end (inbox, real-time toasts, filtering) follows in 26.2.2.*&#x20;

#### Bulk value deletion & deletion

Field values can now be removed during bulk ingest rather than record by record — a significant time-saver for large-scale metadata clean-up. Two mechanisms are available, both governed by a single feature flag:

* **Single-select and scalar fields** (e.g. Status, Country, Language, Rating) are cleared by entering a keyword — default "NULL" — in the cell. Empty cells still leave the field unchanged, and mandatory fields can't be cleared.
* **Multi-select fields** (e.g. Genres, Themes, Studios & Production Companies, descriptor fields) gain a paired "(Delete)" column, where users pick the specific values to remove while all other values on the record are left in place. Additions and removals can be combined in the same row, with deletion taking precedence on a conflict.

#### Reporting New Features

* Record Hierarchy reporting

Visualise linkages across Episodes, Seasons, Shows and Franchises to verify structure, trace data lineage, and troubleshoot orphaned records.

#### Record Expansion

* New "Chapter" category&#x20;

A standalone category introduced for A\&E Networks, supported end-to-end across the platform, with a single permitted linkage of Version ↔ Chapter. Existing category behaviour for other clients is unaffected.

* Version-of-Version breadcrumbs display in the record view.

The record view now displays the full Show > Season > Episode > Version > Version hierarchy in the breadcrumbs, making it easy to understand where a record sits.

### Improvements

#### Bulk ingest improvements

* Bulk ingests now emit SNS events for "Bulk Load Start" and "Bulk Load End", and these start/end notifications are broadcast to external systems.&#x20;
* Row-level ingest state and improved error reporting so failures are attributable to specific rows.&#x20;
* Resume / continue loading for interrupted ingests.&#x20;
* Transport retries and batch tuning for more resilient, higher-throughput loads.&#x20;
* Nuvo validation now respects fields not configured for a given category, avoiding spurious validation.
* Clearer front-end validation messaging when a record cannot be saved because of Record Builder configuration.&#x20;
* Added Additional Spoken Languages and Additional Countries of Origin fields to Nuvo. (Requested by MGM+)

#### Audit logging enhancements

* Payload and user-attribution audit logging on Catalogs, Roles and Permissions mutations.&#x20;

#### API & data handling

* Removing items by value in multi-select fields is now supported in the record payload.&#x20;
* Descriptive error message instead of a 500 on duplicate Data Set entries. (Reported by ITV)&#x20;
* Clearer content returned on API 500 responses to aid diagnosis. (Reported by Fremantle)

#### Linkages

* Removed the redundant bidirectional Season/Episode linkage rule from the linkage matrix, aligning it with existing source-code behaviour.&#x20;
* Groundwork toward resolving the double-linkage mutation issue.&#x20;

* MGM+: VOD and Linear active-status (T/F) flags on the asset header (2.0 follow-up).&#x20;
* Warner (WM): removed Cast & Crew edit permissions from the Okta user role.&#x20;
* MGM+: added SVOD Turkey to the Non-Linear Rights whitelist.

### Bug fixes

#### Advanced Search

* "Is Not" filter now works correctly on Title fields.&#x20;
* Fixed a 500 server error preventing any record search.&#x20;
* Recent search titles now match the applied filter configuration.&#x20;
* Search-targets counters corrected: wrong count on the icon and discrepancies on load.&#x20;
* Advanced Search Genres = 0 no longer appears and now returns correct results.&#x20;
* Country of Origin now displays as the full name.&#x20;

#### Nuvo & ingest

* Fixed Nuvo failing to load and eventually crashing the UI.&#x20;
* Removed the spurious txt\_title\_confirm\_submit\_data\_without\_error warning during ingest.&#x20;
* Fixed data-ingest timeout failures affecting all uploads.&#x20;
* Fixed the 400 Bad Request when updating records with data in the Studios & Production Companies field.&#x20;

#### Record Builder & descriptors

* Addressed error messages and new descriptor requirements introduced after v26.1.1.&#x20;
* Record Builder descriptors now pass the text field when deleting items.&#x20;
* Adding a Record Builder genre on an empty record no longer breaks the view.&#x20;
* Fixed Record Type UI and upload not working.&#x20;

#### Task Manager & linkages

* Franchise is no longer incorrectly required to approve Features/Specials.&#x20;
* Create a Series with Modular Episodes via sheet upload.&#x20;
* TM V2: Modular Episodes now link correctly to a Season.&#x20;
* Season/Episode linkage buttons no longer flicker (disappear then reappear).&#x20;
* Version-of-Version linkage now shows in the record header.

#### Contributors

* Viacom: Add New Contributors in Bulk now works.&#x20;
* Viacom: contributors can be updated in bulk.&#x20;

#### Records, display & export

* Record search no longer refreshes the UI when selecting a record.&#x20;
* Viacom: fixed record creation broken by a missing Security Level field.&#x20;
* UI no longer crashes when cancelling out of the Credits form.&#x20;
* Release Year no longer throws a warning when editing.
* Fixed Thai metadata title quirks.&#x20;
* AKA field now displays correctly in the Regional tab.&#x20;
* Display ID no longer gets cut off in Linkages.&#x20;
* Export fix: the Test Title Dev Hidden record now correctly shows Hidden (not Custom) in the Custom/Default column, matching the UI.&#x20;
